What the name means

In Thailand, maeng da names a giant water bug and one kind of kratom tree, and in slang it means a pimp. On an American label it is a trade name used for marketing, and it tells you nothing about where the leaf came from or its quality. White describes how the leaf was dried and handled after picking.
